This cake was for a little girl called Amelia, from Lucan, for her first birthday.  Her mum just wanted a pretty simple design, with pink and lilac daisies scattered around.  I also put a pretty pink ribbon around the cake board, and a lovely edible pearly finish on the cake.

The cake itself was a 9-inch victoria sponge, filled with vanilla buttercream and strawberry jam.  It is covered with buttercream and sugarpaste.
