I made this birthday cake for my brother David.  (Yes, I have 2 brothers with birthdays on the same day… and they’re not twins!)  He’s a great man for barbeques during the Summer, so I thought this one was very apt.  I handmade little chicken drumsticks, sausages and beef kebabs.  It’s very weird eating “meat” made out of sugar!!

The cake itself was a 8-inch chocolate sponge, filled with vanilla buttercream and covered with sugarpaste.  All the handmade decorations are completely edible.
