This was my first Communion cake to make this year, and I thought adding a pretty little ballerina on top would make it very girlie.  Although all my handcrafted figurines are usually edible, this little girl does have a ribbon skirt so you wouldn’t want to be eating that

This cake was ordered for Caoimhe’s Confirmation day by her mother Michelle, from Naas. She wanted a nice simple traditional style, so I covered the cake in white sugarpaste and sprayed it to give it a nice pearly finish. I made these mini-burgers and chips for Father’s Day.  The burgers are made from chocolate cupcakes and the burger buns are vanilla sponge cupcakes.  The chips are actually toasted madeira cake!  The ketchup and cheese are made from icing.
Very weird eating sweet burgers and chips… tasty though!  These would be ideal for kids’ birthday parties, [...]
